Filipino American Association in Southwest Missouri

We want to thank everyone who attended our Barrio Fiesta festival event. It was filled with visitors from several towns in southwest Missouri and Arkansas .

To those people who attended, I am sure you all enjoyed the show.

Thank you Filaasmo members and the four pageant contestants for supporting and celebrating our Barrio Fiesta. You embraced this year by welcoming our visitors from Arkansas who performed the dances, like tinikling and the carinosa dance. There were two hundred plus attending the Barrio Fiesta event. We would like to say thank you for the Arkansas group dancers and the president, Jun Estorninos of the northwest Arkansas organization for supporting us in our Barrio Fiesta event.

We would also like to give special thanks to our sponsors, whose contributions allowed us to produce many consolation prizes for our Barrio Fiesta events and activities. This year, the association was blessed by the four contestants, Maria Bags, Helen Mormon, Mild Flinchfaugh and Fely Clark, who collectively raised $4K to help support our organization. Thanks to the people who supported and participated in our beauty pageant fundraising, we couldn’t have done with out you. And also a special thanks to the committee, Grace and Martin Alumno,Norma Hall, Josie Perkins and Jim Sanders for their help in putting it all together,(and cleaning up) the facility.

We would like to see everyone again! Salamat uli! See you all at the next event.
